I grew up in football country in central Florida. I played at Palmetto High for Coach Jay Goolsby from 1984-1987. We played in AA State Championship in 1986. Coach's simple motto was "Hard work pays off." We have a generation of kids that need the experience of hard work and sweat. We are in a "facebook generation" where kids spend their time texting, gaming, and doing social media non-stop. Football is a way to teach spiritual, mental, and physical toughness. I feel that football will strengthen our Athletic Program and our young men. We are exploring the "feasibility of football" and would like your opinion.
